Since 2001, the Senate has made available to exhibitors, against payment of a fee, the portion of the Grilles of the Luxembourg Garden between the Porte Saint-Michel and the Porte Odéon to enable two four-month photography exhibitions to be presented to the public each year.
83 panels for photographic prints in 120 x 180 cm format will be made available to exhibitors, subject to the exhibitor bearing the costs relating to the depreciation, maintenance and storage of these panels.
The programme is selected by the Exhibition Selection Committee, which meets at the beginning of each year.
Exhibition projects must be of an artistic or historical nature and aimed at the general public.
A new photo exhibition, Ailleurs... en France can currently be seen on the Grilles of the Luxembourg Garden.
Let's embark on a journey around the world... in France?
From ochre-colored canyons to almost unreal lagoons, from churches to temples... Could this be Australia? Rwanda? Bolivia?
The illusion is perfect! We are transported to the ends of the earth... And yet we are in France!
These similarities are pure magic. Around a valley, a village, a radiant island, the exhibition ELSEWHERE... IN FRANCE reveals an incredible adventure: that of our photographers, who despite days of waiting, cold, rain, managed to capture the best angle, the best light.
A magnificent journey that appeals to the senses, to the desire for escape.
Discovering a France with exceptional treasures, with unsuspected riches from our regions.
So, ready for the Adventure?
Immediate boarding!
